The Office of Student System Services at the University of IL at Chicago (UIC), located in a large metropolitan area, is seeking a full-time Information Technology Manager (Project Portfolio Manager) to assist the department with the following responsibilities: Manage IT projects & department operations, including technical implementation & upgrade projects. Manage application development projects & releases, including the development of work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, & status reports. Ensure quality standards by reviewing project deliverables & providing technical & analytical guidance to project team. Recommend solutions & communicate progress to stakeholders & mgmt. Implement metrics to measure results & improve capabilities. Utilize Business Systems Analysis to analyze & interpret functional business & data requirements & translate them into technical & design specifications for systems implementations. Requirements are a Bach. degree or its foreign equivalent in Comp. Sci., IT or related field, plus 6 years of professional IT experience, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory or lead worker capacity. No travel is required.
