The Radiology Operations Specailist position is responsible for performing duties in the Radiology Operations Center.

  1. Responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality while processing patient’s Radiology exams and reports including accurate and efficient image management, and controlling and processing of more critical requests including electronic requests.
  2. Contributes to the effective operation of University Hospitals and the Radiology Operations Center.
  3. Controls central Radiology operations center which serves as primary point of contact between UH hospitals, ambulatory sites, radiology staff, and radiologists
  4. Working Collaboratively with Physicians/Co-Workers/Patients in a professional and effective manner.
  5. Provides support to Radiologists and Radiology staff by monitoring PACS worklists, alerting radiologists of reporting delays and assists in redistributing workflow as needed, troubleshooting issues as they arise and communicating with the appropriate resources, & provide support during downtime.
  6. Has knowledge of Radiology Supported Applications.
  7. Effectively communicates with radiologists, technologists, and other users outside physician’s
  8. Assists in optimizing radiologist workflow and maintaining efficiency.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years minimum experience with Radiology PACS system, Image management, Release of Medical Information, & customer service
  • Experience in a patient service environment and preferably in a healthcare environment
