Software Engineer Special-Lite, Inc. is a privately held manufacturer of complete exterior entrance systems on commercial and institutional structures, consisting of doors, framing and related products, for both new construction and renovation projects. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience. Experience in Java, C#, or C++ or any other Object Oriented Language is required. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining a custom software extension which is represented in 2D and/or 3D format, with costing, business logic and error prevention. Develop and leverage software development best practices to maximize the predictability and success of future project(s). As a member of the Special-Lite team located in Decatur, Michigan, you will develop in CET Designer, which is a proprietary, object-oriented program designed by Configura.
