Summary

The Breast, Cervical, and Colon Health Program Unit of Public Health | Seattle & King County is seeking a Full Time, Short Term-Temporary Project Program Manager III to join our team!

The duration of this opportunity is expected to last between 3 to 6 months.

The Program Management Advisor will be short-term, limited support for the Breast, Cervical, and Colon Health Program (BCCHP) implemented by Public Health. The program provides education and financial assistance to support cancer screening among under- and un-insured populations, including undocumented residents. The BCCHP program provides breast, cervical, and colon screenings to Washington residents who do not have insurance or have insurance with a high deductible. Cancer screenings can be lifesaving when cancer is found early and when it may be easier to treat. The program connects adults with diagnostic services and treatment and work to improve access to services, especially for people who face additional hardships to getting health care. This advisor will support program planning and development, including development of policy priorities.

Commitment to Equity and Social Justice:

It is a region with increasing diversity that cherishes the traditions of many cultures.

With this commitment, King County has adopted a pro-equity agenda to advance regional change and ensure that residents from all communities are incorporated into our emergency planning and public outreach efforts.

We recognize that structural racism consists of principles and practices that cause and justify an inequitable distribution of rights, opportunities, and experiences across racial groups. Since declaring Racism is a Public Health Crisis in June 2020, King County and Public Health committed to being intentionally anti-racist and accountable to Black, Indigenous and People of Color communities.
