Job Summary:

Will perform accurate entry, collection and coordination of transplant data for internal quality monitoring as well as submission to regulatory bodies. This data consists of clinical, transplant-specific information that impacts both patient and program level outcomes. Data submission to the CMS-ESRD network relates to transplant activity amongst Medicare eligible patients. A primary function of the role of data coordinator is collaboration with the quality coordinator for the interaction with regulatory agencies, UNOS and CMS, to maintain program compliance. A vital part of the transplant team, additional duties include: compiling large data reports, creating a framework for quality assurance/compliance with data integrity standards, assisting with work flow analysis and improvement through automation and programming, and providing technical help and assistance to transplant physicians interested in conducting research.  

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in science/mathematics/business or health related field and 1 year of relevant administrative/clerical experience OR Associates Degree in science/mathematics/business or health related field and 3 years of relevant administrative/clerical experience required. Strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent written/oral communication, organizational and computer skills required. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and be proficient in Microsoft Office (word and excel). Familiarity with statistics is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with EPIC's Phoenix System, the United Network, UNOS and CMS systems is a strongly desired.
