Part Time Police Officer for the Borough of Port Vue
The Borough of Port Vue is accepting applications for the position of Part
time Police Officer. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest,
resume and application. Starting rate of pay is $19.10 per hour.

The Port Vue Police Department consists of a full-time chief, a lieutenant, one patrolman and 12 part-time officers. Bryan R. Myers was appointed the Borough Police Chief in January of 2012. The Borough’s other full-time officer is Lt. David J. Petrusk
The Mission of the Port Vue Police Department is to insure, to the greatest extent, the safety and security of our borough residents and businesses.
500 residents of what became Port Vue decided to separate from Lincoln Township and create a new borough. They met in a schoolhouse on the old Edmundson farm and first thought of naming the borough Grandview. However, because of the beautiful view of the port that McKeesport had on the Youghiogheny River, they agreed on Port Vue instead.
