We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an essential full-time role as an RN Supervisor.  As an RN Supervisor, you will supervise your team and coordinate a program of care, in accordance with the physician’s plan and Pleasant Valley Manor’s policies and procedures of care, which utilizes all available resources in order to provide for the needs of all residents and deliver positive outcomes.

The duties and responsibilities life of a Registered Nurse (RN) include, but are not limited to:

• Supervises, engages, and motivates LPNs, Nurse Aides, and support personnel to provide exceptional resident care.
• Coordinates a program of care and provides direct care to residents in the absence of or to complement care services of subordinate staff.
• Oversees and ensures clinical care plans are being provided to residents in a quality manner. Works as a team to accomplish resident goals. 
• Plans and implements work assignments for the shift, and assigns work unit schedules to ensure adequate coverage according to company and regulatory standards.
• Develops and implements Nursing Service objectives on the assigned unit.
• Provides input for resident assessments and resident care plans based on individual needs of residents, as seen on their assigned shift, using an on-going assessment program.
• Audits residents’ medical record, including MAR’s, treatment records, and Nurse Aide flow records. Assists with charting, including summaries, MDS, etc.
• Supervises onboarding and on-the-job training for new employees. Makes recommendations to Director of Nursing regarding any and all changes to such.
• Reviews, evaluates, and discusses employee grievances with the Director of Nursing.
• Actively listens and confers with residents and family members with a cheerful and pleasant disposition, using tact and understanding when dealing with difficult situations, and maintains liaison between residents and their families.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal and State regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
• Assists and monitors resident mealtimes.
• Ensures residents are treated with dignity and respect.

Required qualifications:

• Graduate of approved Registered Nurse program, or accredited college or university.
• Unexpired license in Pennsylvania, in good standing.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory experience in acute care or long-term care, or other related health care
• Knowledge of patient management, the nursing process, and regulations.
• Possesses leadership and motivational skills, and employs professionalism and tact.
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and a kind and compassionate manner.
