Main duties of the position include: answers and places telephone; coordinates meetings and travel; types, transcribes, processes correspondence and performs general office duties and provides back up support for other clerical personnel.

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Position Details/Preferred Qualifications:
Previous administrative hospital or medical office experience is strongly preferred. Must have at least 1 year of clerical work. Prior lab experience is preferred but not mandatory. Main responsibilities include: overseeing schedules and the work of the other secretarial staff, assist in paying invoices, submitting expenses, legal cases, routing mail and Tumor Boards duties, supporting the pathology clinicians, answering phones, sending out material for consultation, filing/pulling slides, registration, ordering consult cases, and any other departmental needs as they arise. Strong Microsoft Office skills, primarily Word and Excel, are required.
