Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Crisis Supervisor at Behavioral Health Network! 

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Crisis Supervisor with the following:

  • Ensuring the team objective are met by distributing workload in an effective manner.
  • Identifying the unique signs and symptoms of mental health and substance abuse in relation to children and adolescents for diagnostic accuracy.
  • Determining and implementing an appropriate treatment/referral response using the least restrictive alternatives.
  • Utilizing the recovery-oriented model, through the use of the multi-modal therapies during interventions with children, adolescents and families.
  • Ensures effective communication and time management of their team
  • Providing individual and group supervision.
  • Hiring and training new staff
  • Being a liaison between the crisis team and other providers

Who are we?

BHN’s Crisis Program provides 24/7 front line response to individuals of all ages who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis, regardless of insurance. BHN provides services on a mobile basis, including home and community-based settings or in an emergency department when needed. 

Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938.  BHN provides comprehensive, outcome-driven behavioral health care. Job Requirements:

What are we looking for in a Crisis Supervisor?

  • Master’s degree in a mental health/clinical program (Required)
  • License eligible in MA (required) or Licensed-LICSW, LMHC or LCSW (Preferred)
  • 5 years experience in mental health (Required)
  • Knowledge of grief and trauma, specific to children and adolescents
  • Knowledge of serious and persistent mental illness, substance abuse, appropriate interventions and access to community resources.
  • Knowledge and application of the Recovery Oriented model, specific to those experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • Must display empathic skills and the ability to establish rapport with consumers, family members and service providers.
  • Good observation, thorough documentation skills and ability to provide solution focused, strengths based treatment.
  • Must have reliable transportation during each shift to provide community based services. 

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st – through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN’s Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.
