| Job Description | The Lab Coordinator for the School of Mathematics and Sciences is responsible for safety, organization, student/faculty/staff safety training, and supplies management for the natural sciences teaching laboratories. This person also is responsible for coordinating facilities use by graduate students who require the use of the wet labs or the instrumentation of the School of Mathematics and Sciences. The Lab Coordinator monitors and maintains the safe and sustained operation of the schools laboratory instruments/equipment and responds to any alerts or safety concerns as they arise even if they occur outside of the universitys normal operating hours. |
| Required Qualifications | *Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or Physics; *laboratory management experience |
| Preferred Qualifications | *Safety training certification; *Experience managing undergraduate students. |

| Job Duty | train student lab assistants, faculty, and staff in safe and compliant laboratory practices; |

| Job Duty | maintain records of safety training, incident reporting and resolution, hazardous wastes disposal, and chemical inventory; |

| Job Duty | coordinate with IS to manage the Research Lab (MANS 422) swipe access list; |

| Job Duty | collaborate with student lab assistants to maintain cleanliness of labs; |

| Job Duty | maintaining list of service companies for lab instruments; |

| Job Duty | perform minor instrument maintenance including microscopes; |

| Job Duty | operate lab computers and computer interfaced equipment; |

| Job Duty | coordinate maintenance, cleanliness, and fuel needs for the CMRC vehicles, |
