| Job Summary: | Responsibilities include: cover front desk functions for all areas within the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department. Schedule appointments, answer phones, register patients, obtain authorizations and follow thru on all problem accounts with assistance from business manager and team leader. Will be cross trained and maintain current knowledge of all registration areas and business office functions within PM&R Department. Assist in training staff and work on special projects to assist the Directors and Business Managers as needed. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and computer skills required. Ability to work independently, ability to provide training to new employees. |

| Minimum Qualifications: |
New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer. Now accepting Provisional Applicants: To be considered for provisional appointment you must be a qualified employee of the State University of New York and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1 or as a Nursing Station Clerk 1 |
