Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG)
Job Location: Houston, TX

Seeking outstanding candidates for Executive Director. With some 12,000 members in 120 countries, an exceptional individual who will be an effective leader of SEG's staff, business & operations. The ideal candidate will have academic background in geoscience or an associated discipline, senior experience working with technical groups, leadership experience in applied geophysics, and experience managing a diverse and distributed global team. Priority will be given to the person with an imaginative, collaborative, and successful track record. Interested individuals who can excel as a business and organizational leader while inspiring staff w/excellent coaching skills and a history of encouraging and embracing diversity. Candidates considered consensus builders who understand the vital role of compromise will fit well with the expectations of the Board. Special consideration will be given to candidates who have demonstrated achievement in volunteer or professional organizations. Postion reports to the President & Board of Directors, liaise with the SEG Foundation, and pursue growth in the Society's membership, activities, and impact.

SEG has offices in Tulsa, Dubai, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur & Houston. TX.
