OB/GYN Associates is currently recruiting for a fulltime surgery scheduler.  This position will be responsible for coordinating appointments and scheduling surgeries as designated by the physician.  The position will interact directly with the patients, physicians, insurance companies and other staff within the clinic and outside facilities/hospitals.  The surgery scheduler will schedule the patient for surgery/procedures, coordinate testing and/or referrals, educate the patient and help answer any questions or concerns the patient or family may have.  This position will complete and route all documentation (including but not limited to prior authorizations, FMLA and disability documentation, release from/return to work forms) as required. 

Qualifications/Experience

• An Associates Degree in Nursing or a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is highly desired. 
• Experience within a clinical setting and/or surgery scheduling. 
• Must posses excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task. 
• Experience or knowledge of general nursing theory and practice and specialized patient care concepts are desired.
