Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector examines finished electronic assemblies for defects, notifies assemblers when errors are present and records data required per department standards.

Job Duties:

• Ability to perform visual inspection/ examine circuit assemblies including soldered connections.
• Experience with cable assembly includes crimping of connectors
• Identify defects on the completed assemblies per electronic standards.
• Perform simple math and understand percentage concept.
• Must be detail oriented and able to concentrate during visual inspection.

Physical Requirements:

• Good visual acuity and ability to decipher colors is required during visual inspection.
• Be able to lift 30 lbs.
• Ability to sit and stand during the shift.
• Read and follow work instructions.
• Some occasional light lifting is required:  5-23 lbs.

Education & Experience:

• Knowledge of IPC-610 standards & IPC-620 inspection.
• Some experience working with electronics or printed circuit boards.
• Electronics certification, vocational school training or military training is helpful.
• Computer utilization – email, Word or Excel.
