The Assistant Shuttles and Transportation Manager manages specific/primary duties related to the daily management of the Motor Pool. The Assistant Manager works closely with student organization representatives and/or advisors to ensure that all trip requests are processed and approved in a timely manner. Once approved, this position manages all aspects of the trip including vehicle scheduling, pre-trip, post trip, cleaning, and fueling when applicable.

The Assistant Manager manages requests submitted by Tulane departments to utilize the university motor pool. This position works with the Safety Manager to ensure all student drivers and Tulane staff drivers are certified to operate motor pool vehicles prior to driving. This position serves as the point of contact with the car rental company to schedule the rental fleet for delivery-pick up/returns, maintenance, vehicle paperwork, and counter rentals.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the weekend management of the Shuttles & Transportation operation including fixed shuttle lines, on demand, RIDES, and Motor Pool transit operations. This position is tasked with driving, when needed, to minimize service disruptions.

This position has Exempt status and is classified as Tulane essential personnel which entails being on campus during shelter in place events and throughout hurricane evacuations assisting in multiple Campus Services related tasks.
