Mortgage Loan Processor Steamboat

Position responsible for processing loans in fast paced, detail-driven Mortgage Dept while providing exceptional customer service; requires 1 year mortgage loan processing and/or mortgage industry experience.

Loan Processor responsibilities

Review initial loan approval and work with borrower to gather appropriate documentation

Collect all required documentation for the loan package

Create a loan submission package for the Underwriting department

Submit files to assigned Underwriter

Perform initial appraisal of potential borrowers by thoroughly examining their applications

Assess the credit standings of applicants through background research

Interview applicants to evaluate their eligibility for loan or mortgage

Conclude on all applicable financial and non-financial criteria and develop loan repayment plans

Follow up with clients to clarify important points

Give the “green light” to eligible candidates and report decisions with sound arguments

Satisfy all conditions when received from Underwriter

Ensure that approval falls within the established lending guidelines

Communicate with other professionals, including attorneys, county clerks and title companies
