MUNICIPAL ENGINEER The Municipality of Bethel Park is seeking a Municipal Engineer. This position will manage the municipal road and capital improvement programs; and review of erosion and sedimentation control plans, land development and subdivision plans; and assist with projects involving the Municipality's Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Program and the operation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of the municipal wastewater system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: development of the design, analysis, specifications, cost estimates, inspections, tabulations of contract bids, and contract payments related to the road program, capital improvement projects and storm sewer system, review plans and oversee inspection of land development and subdivision site work, overseeing code enforcement for grading and storm water issues. Thorough knowledge of principles/practices of civil engineering; ability to perform difficult engineering computations and to make comprehensive recommendations on engineering problems; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, contractors and the general public. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience. Salary range is $68,000- $80,000 commensurate with experience/qualifications. A generous benefit package including health insurance and pension plan is provided.
