Perform & lead others in the design & analysis of advanced reactor cores (including fast reactors), & radiation transport analysis, e.g. for shielding applications. Some travel (up to 20%) may be required to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. May telecommute from home 1 to 2 days per week.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Perform and lead others in the design and analysis of advanced reactor cores (including fast reactors), and radiation transport analysis, e.g. for shielding applications.
• Perform modeling of first-of-a-kind radiation experimental configurations.
• Participate and lead others in nuclear experimental measurements supporting both Product Line commercial initiatives and development projects.
• Advocate for Westinghouse initiatives with nuclear professional organizations, committees, government entities, university and national laboratories.
• Lead complex and moderately complex technical projects, coordinating multi-functional teams to accomplish project objectives while meeting established schedule and budget requirements.
• Identify and define technical issues and challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution.
• Bring engineering rigor to resolution of problems that are sometimes loosely, or only partially, defined.
• Verify work of other engineers on assignments that range from basic to complex.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to other personnel.
