PRADCO Outdoor Brands is seeking an Engineering Hardware Test Specialist to add to its Moultrie Mobile team. This position will be focused on ensuring all hardware development has been thoroughly tested and meets or exceeds specified standards and end user requirements prior to release for the Moultrie Mobile platform, as well as other hunting division software projects. As a “high confidence, low ego” team player, the Engineering Hardware Test Specialist will work with the Hardware/Device team to ensure the quality of products in development, as well as products already on the market.

 

Essential Functions:

Hardware Testing

  • Responsible for testing of features, enhancements, as well as bug fixes for all existing and future devices to ensure accuracy prior to implementation/deployment.
  • Develop and execute test schedules & strategies to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness and to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure feedback is documented and delivered to the development team promptly upon completion of testing.
  • Document Hardware/Firmware defects using bug tracking systems (Asana, Devops), including clear and detailed reproduction steps.
  • Exercise best judgement on escalating bugs to product leads and development team depending on the level of impact to the business and customer.
  • Responsible for management of all test devices including Updating devices, managing test accounts, Managing test equipment, and more.
  • Perform routine maintenance of test benches, equipment, instruments, facility, etc.
  • Familiar with working in multiple product environments (Production, Dev, Research and Development).

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors while performing duties of this job.
  • Must be able to see all parts of the product to test for functionality.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred 2-year College degree in related field of study, or comparable work experience.
  • 1+ year experience working in a similar quality test position.
  • Experience working with consumer electronics.
  • Experience with electronic multimeters.
  • Experience working with hardware/firmware development teams.
  • Experience working with Asana or other Task management software.
  • Experience working with development process/lifecycle of a product.
