King County's Department of Local Services (DLS), Engineering Section is seeking an Administrator II to provide administrative services and support to the Engineering Section Manager, the County Road Engineer, and Managing Engineers.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-starter who is skilled at organization and has excellent interpersonal skills, a keen attention to detail, an ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, and a commitment to equity and social justice.
The Administrator II will perform a wide variety of assignments to assist managers in dealing with administrative aspects of Section operations. The incumbent will independently perform assignments within established guidelines and procedures. Assignments include conducting research, coordinating efforts of others, program development, evaluation of new policies, procedures, and various types of information, preparing reports, and solving problems with or on behalf of management. The Engineering Section consists of approximately 100 employees in mainly two locations (King Street Center and Renton campus).
