What will I be doing?

This position works in a cleaning area within the Park Operations Department. Responsible for cleanliness of all restrooms, midways, Guest areas, and back areas in Park Services location. Job also requires helping Guests with situations and giving them a great experience. Position also upholds policies while ensuring the company Cornerstones and Best Day initiatives are followed.

 

Responsibilities

·          Ensure the cleanliness of the assigned area, restrooms, and changing garbage cans as needed

·          Sweep and clean grounds and restrooms throughout the assigned area using a broom, dust pan, mop, or squeegee

·          Monitor Guests visiting the park and report any problems to supervision or security

·          Give directions to attractions in the park and help Guests and other associates when needed

·          Stay up to date on relevant park and department information

·          Help stock new supply orders in area and keep restrooms supplied with the proper materials 

·          Ensure that all chemical bottles are labeled correctly and do not use any bottles which are not labeled correctly

·          Be trained in the proper use of all chemicals, tools, and machinery necessary for a Park Services Attendant

·          Fill out any necessary paperwork each day and follow break guidelines set forth by Team Leader as well as filling out a break card if required

·          Report information on all incidents and maintenance concerns to your supervisor and know what to do in case of any emergency situation

·          Follow all operational procedures at all times and perform up to your highest level as well as encouraging others to do the same

·          Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.

·          Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

·          Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

·          Meets Cedar Fair’s attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair’s attendance policies.

·          Adheres to Cedar Fair’s Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.

·          Other duties may be assigned.

 

What are we looking for?

·          Must be at least 16 years of age

·          Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

·          Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

·          Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
