Cornell Pump has an exciting opportunity for the position of Inside Sales / Applications Engineer. The position is based out of the company’s Portland, Oregon factory and headquarters. The position supports Cornell Pump’s network of sales staff and distributors in the U.S. and around the world with technical advice, product suggestions, and sales order fulfillment. 

Essential duties include:

• Answers distributor and end user questions and inquiries concerning correct selection of Cornell equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills; frequent telephone and e-mail communication.
• Computer fluency; MS Word and Excel proficiency preferred.
• Develop knowledge of product; range, features, and benefits, in order to match distributors’ needs.
• Relationship builder within company and with distributors. Working closely with market managers, regional managers, engineering and operations; incumbent would be expected to build trust and respect, while working towards a common goal of selling high quality pumps. For distributors, customer engagement to provide a consistent, friendly voice advocating for them and directing them to best product selection.
• Acquire, interpret, and practically apply technical pump information (Training is provided).
