Our Assistant Nurse Manager maintains the nursing staff in all areas as well as to deliver safe efficient age specific nursing care to patient and families.

1. Routinely provide patient care
2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
3. Maintains employee records
4. Identifies needs for and provides Staff education/staff development
5. Participates in Discharge planning, community resource referrals and education
6. Committee involvement, participate with quality improvement initiatives
7. Oversees daily operations of unit/area in a cost effective manner
8. Involved in Community outreach activities as pertinent Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers and co-workers.
9. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
10. Displays commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

Ths position will support Seidman 4, Inpatient Medical Oncology which is a 30 bed adult unit providing care to newly diagnosed medical oncology patients having elective chemotherapy, non malignant hematology patients such as Sickle Cell Disease and end of life care.

Sign-on Bonus:  This position is eligible for a $6000 sign-on bonus to eligible candidates.  Eligible candidates must be newly hired to UH and have at least 1yr of RN experience.

• 1-2 years clinical RN experience required
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from an accredited program required, MSN preferred
• RN licensure in the State of Ohio required
• Certification in oncology or leaderhip is required, if not certified upon hire required within 1 year
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills both written & verbal as well as exhibiting strong organizational skills and work ethic
• Demonstrated ability to handle high pressure situations with professionalism & integrity
