  • Job Description

    Become a part of our team of competent and compassionate professionals as an Assessment Clinician in outpatient and community wraparound programs at Behavioral Health Network!

    Assessment Clinicians help individuals and families referred to BHN’s ambulatory services by providing high-quality level of care determinations and comprehensive behavioral health assessments using evidence-based clinical tools and sound clinical judgment. Clinicians also provide risk/crisis evaluations and take the appropriate actions to keep individuals and others safe.

    The Assessment Clinician for ICC is responsible for the completion of comprehensive assessments including SED determination.  The Assessment Clinician works in concert with the Care Coordinator I and the Family Partner assigned to the youth and family to complete the assessment conversation and is responsible for completing the assessment documentation within required timeframes.  The Assessment Clinician works with the Care Coordinator I and their supervisor as needed, to determine medical necessity criteria for the youth being assessed and makes recommendations for services, supports, resources, and other relevant interventions based on the comprehensive assessment.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements

Assessment Clinicians at Behavioral Health Network have the following qualities:

  • Master’s Degree in a Human Services-related field that is license-eligible (required).
  • Must be CANS-MA certified prior to start date (required).
  • Must have knowledge of mental illness/SED as manifested in children and adolescents as well as knowledge of treatment techniques.
  • Must have familiarity with internet, word processing, and email systems.
  • Experience in navigating any of the child/family-serving systems (preferred).
  • Knowledge of community resources (preferred).
  • Experience facilitating meetings or groups (preferred).
