Job Summary | As a Women’s Health Advanced Practice Clinician, your contributions will be vital in providing evidence-based care for women experiencing perimenopause and menopause symptoms in the Midlife Women’s Health and Menopause Medicine Program. The ideal candidate must be a certified menopause practitioner and have passed the competency exam. In addition, medical experience in sexual medicine, vulvar disorders, and weight management is desirable. Type: full-time, between 30-40 hours/week Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (with admin time) Essential Functions:

Responsibilities | Essential Functions Takes complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians. Performs physical examinations. Orders laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies and other diagnostic procedures. Orders and supervises the administration of blood products. Reaches tentative diagnosis of medical, surgical and other conditions. Develops treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician to provide optimal patient medical management. Participates in continuing medical education to include specialty and sub-specialty meetings, clubs, boards and conferences. Assists in the collection of data for research projects. Orders consultations and interacts with members of other specialty medical teams. Participates in special projects and committee functions. Problem Solving Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above. Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of life span growth and development and the ability to assess data regarding the patient’s status and provide care as described in the department’s policies and procedures manual. |
