Activity Therapist work in conjunction with the rehabilitation therapies to provide personal growth and self awareness experiences to patients. This learning-by-doing approach encompasses such topics as: leisure, fitness and recreational skills; art, drama and music expression; assertiveness, trust and self-esteem; and communication skills and stress management. Job Requirements: BA or BS in Recreation Therapy with experience and knowledge of human dynamics. Valid New York State driver's license. Certification: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, CASAC or other certification recognized as "Qualified Health Provider" (QHP) required at hire.
