Career Consultant

The Career Consultant provides a variety of educational, vocational, and personal counseling services to JTEC adult participants relative to their future employability at MassHire Cape and Islands Career Center. Additional responsibilities include designing, planning, implementing, facilitating, and teaching group and individual career skills workshops; completing client applications; assessing client potential using established methods; developing a realistic training and employment plan; and monitoring client's progress and activities.

Requires: · Associate's degree · Counseling experience, i.e., guidance counselor, drug or rehabilitation counselor, employment counselor or any combination of education and training that demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. · Providing in-person counseling to job seeker members during normal business hours at MassHire Cape and Islands Career Center located in Hyannis, MA. · Reliable transportation to complete field assignments. Mileage provided.

Salary: $38,000-$48,000 plus excellent benefits.
