Job Summary

Monitor and operate boiler to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment and personnel. Perform general repair and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and on other heating and cooling equipment throughout the campus including fans, motors, building controls, and cooling towers.

This is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute OKLA. STAT. tit. 63, § 427.8 (2020).  

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
Active State of Oklahoma’s Mechanical Apprentice Card, or confirmation that a signed application (by College Mechanical Contractor) will be submitted within 30 days of hire.
1 year operating experience on boilers and boiler systems requiring a Third Class Engineer’s license.
Ability to perform responsibilities on one’s own initiative with limited supervision.
Experience with minor electrical and minor plumbing jobs.
Experience with implementing preventative maintenance programs.
Ability to move heavy objects (50 pounds).

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer education and/or formal training of equipment requiring a Third Class Engineer’s license.
