This position will be part of University Hospitals Department of Dermatology which is expanding strategically, academically, clinically and geographically, and has distinctive areas of excellence that transcend multiple disciplines beyond dermatology.The UH Department of Dermatology is a progressive department and is on an ambitious path to meet the challenges facing society and underserved communities.Our faculty, researchers and staff are part of a creative, dedicated, interdisciplinary learning culture, and bring an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to collaboration.Manage the business and clinical operations of the Mohs surgery and Dermatopathology programs which includes, but is not limited to, scheduling, workflows and procedures, product planning and project management processes across departments.Responsible for developing the program operating budget, finances and accounting. Accountable for programs financial goals under the supervision of the department administrator.Work in collaboration with the Mohs surgeons, dermatopathologists, clinical staff and patient access teams.Work with outside vendors and/or Sales Reps about equipment and supply updates for both Mohs and Dermatopathology.Collaborate with Patient Access Supervisor to ensure proper workflow and communication for Mohs schedulingCollaborate with surgeons and dermatopathologists on marketing, patient education, website presence and updates.Track referrals and quality metrics, turnaround times, time to surgery.Ensure adequate staffing and supplies for all Mohs surgery sessions.Conduct monthly and bi-weekly Mohs meetings with surgeons and staff.Staff education and standardization of procedures.Escalate clinical concerns to the Clinical Nursing Supervisor.

Education. 

Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, finance, operations, or project management. MBA Preferred

 

 

Experience & Knowledge:

3-5 years of experience in program management or planning, operations, project management and systems integration.

Demonstrated ability of building relationships with faculty and external partners

Advanced level of interpersonal communication and organizational skills
