Immigration Associate Attorney

Tueth Keeney, a mid-size law firm with offices in Clayton, Mo and Edwardsville, IL, is seeking an associate level immigration attorney for its thriving business immigration practice. This position would work out of the firm’s Clayton office. The firm’s clients include large multinational corporations as well as small companies, universities, health care institutions and other entities that need assistance in this area.

In this role, the associate attorney will prepare petitions for government agencies, review immigration applications and supporting documents prepared by paralegals, have frequent contact with clients, and work closely with the firm’s senior immigration attorneys and paralegals to ensure that clients’ needs are met in a fast-paced environment.

While prior experience in immigration law is preferred, the firm will consider candidates who have an interest and desire to learn this area of the law and who meet the required skill set. The position requires excellent writing skills, an ability to learn, understand, and apply immigration laws to the client’s particular situation, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to changing circumstances, including new immigration regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have the ability to multi-task and to work independently, have strong oral and written communication skills, and have strong research and organizational skills. A client-focused attitude is a must. This position is a fulltime position, although contract work will be considered.
