The Office of Risk Management Services (ORMS) is seeking an innovative Finance & Administrative Services Manager who will lead the Essential Services Team, manage the Insurance Fund, establish the insurance rates, and play a key role in the development and strategy for the ORMS biennial budget. This is an exciting opportunity to join the ORMS management team and direct the financial management of the County’s self-insured program.
This position will be integral to designing strategy for present and future services that we provide to our customers. This role requires strong finance and accounting skills to establish financial plans and policies, manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, work with the actuary to develop insurance funding requirements, and prepare quarterly and annual reports to the King County Council. This role requires a strategic mindset to anticipate and plan for future trends, strong communication skills for a wide variety of audiences, a continuous improvement mindset, and strong team building and employee development skills.
