The Implementation consultants provides the support client needs as they go live on FOLIO and beyond. We analyze, document and try to understand the client’s data and workflow processes. And most importantly, work with clients to ensure that they are using FOLIO to support their workflow as FOLIO evolves.

Depending on the client’s needs, we provide a wide range of professional services, ranging from project management, workflow analysis, systems architecture support, data analysis, custom programming, systems integration, training, acting on the client’s behalf in the FOLIO community and much more

 

Responsibilities: 

 

The Implementation Consultant responsible for leading large successful FOLIO implementation projects at academic libraries. Supported by a deep bench of specialists and subject matter experts, this position will help sharpen and drive the FSE implementation methodology:

 

• Traditional - Core library data migration phases tracking to the information management lifecycle

• Simplified - Data and business rule designs that make the most of FOLIO’s streamlined workflows

• Risk management - Phased implementations and components that lower risk to library operations

 

This position does not need to hands-on code, setup APIs, or configure workflows, you will develop these skills along the way. It does demand documenting requirements from library staff, directing configuration specialists, comprehension of functional plus technical complexities, and applying team solutions. A successful candidate will be a results-oriented individual with a powerful blend of library industry and technology acumen, project management, team leadership, creative problem solving, and customer relationship management

 

You will take part in the continuous refinement and scaling of our services.

  • Technically Savvy: Highly knowledgeable on current and proven library systems-related technologies and proactively seeks to gain knowledge and understanding of evolving technologies that could have a positive impact on current systems, software, data, and tools.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • College/university degree
  • Ability to travel. The applicant should live close to an international airport. Up to 30% travel.
  • Ability to attend online meetings during US business hours (eastern - pacific) 
  • Professional English skills
  • Located in Oceania Region

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management, and presentation skills.
  • Master’s degree in Library science or Information Systems
  • Adult training and learning methodologies
  • Experience working as a developer, systems librarian or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with REST APIs
  • Electronic resource management
  • Working with data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or similar software
  • Basic programming and scripting
  • Understanding of Linked data concepts and applications
