St. Louis University High School invites applications for the following position: School Counselor.

St. Louis University High is a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory school with an enrollment of approximately 1,000 male students. Founded in 1818, the school strives to serve an economically, socially and geographically diverse student population within the St. Louis metropolitan area. Academic excellence is a trademark of the school. We seek men and women of faith proficient in their fields and committed to leading students in co-curricular and pastoral ministry activities. The school expects faculty and staff to participate in spiritual formation programs, retreats, and Ignatian formation in education and spirituality.

The person hired for this position will need to have strong counseling and interviewing skills to address the broad range of emotional, social and academic issues facing High School students and families in individual, family and group settings.

Qualified candidates will have strong teaching and presentation skills to address groups of students and parents on a range of topics related to academic, social, emotional and spiritual development.

A Master's degree in Counseling is preferred.

The person hired for this position will serve full-time as a School Counselor beginning July 1, 2018.
