Membership Engagement Manager
APWA is searching for a creative Membership Engagement Manager to join our Membership team. A successful
Engagement Manager will help drive a superior member experience, develop effective tools to enhance the member
experience, serve as staff liaison to multiple member committees and supervise the two-person customer service team.
Responsibilities include:
member experience based on APWA’s organizational objectives
opportunities for member engagement
subcommittee work including agendas, reports, meeting summaries and communication on committee activities
and logistical planning for two committee meetings annually.
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in public administration, marketing, or related area; a minimum
of three years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two years
experience in a supervisory role (training and coaching for delivery of optimal customer service desired); association
experience working with volunteer leaders preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills; be
customer/member service oriented; be highly proficient in using all forms of media to deliver a message and have strong
computer skills using Office 2010 or higher, and Outlook. Must be able to prioritize workload, be comfortable writing for
and presenting to various audiences, be flexible and detail oriented.
