Inside Classified Representative

Job Description:  This position will process and generate revenue by acquiring or retaining new small and mid-sized business customers. These customers will be from the Obituary, Legal and Sales categories of business.

Essential Functions:

• Answer phones, emails and potential walk in customers and prospect on a daily basis.

• Identify customer needs and develop customer relationships through a consultative approach. Be aware of the many deadlines and communicate to customers in a timely manner.

• Ensure a superior customer experience by addressing customer questions or concerns and demonstrating empathy.

• Handle inbound calls in a timely manner. Be in available so we don’t lose calls.

• Effectively use voicemail and email messages to maintain customer satisfaction. Minimize errors in processing Legals and Obituaries.

• Consistently meet or exceed productivity objectives, ex. number of inbound calls, talk time, email return, call backs.

• Maintain a current knowledge of market activities including competitive products, pricing and policies, new technology, product specifications and possible new products. Communicate this information to management on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school degree required. 

• Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed customer service and processing quotas

• Able to quickly develop customer relationships and gain trust

• Able to work in a team environment, working together with colleagues to meet business goals

• Computer literate with strong keyboard skills. Previous experience using CRM software desired

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and effective time management

• High energy, drive, and sense of responsibility
