The Life of an HCA Nurse

Wound Care Coordinators are in a special position to make a difference. They oversee the day to day operations of the Wound Care program or department. They perform administrative duties such as coordinating care teams for patients, and acting as a liaison between patients, patient families, and health care professionals.

 About Tulane's Comprehensive Wound Healing Center:

• Provides care to those suffering from non-healing wounds

Responsibilities:

• Under the general direction of the Director, Manager or Nurse Manager,  Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. 

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing    
• Current Louisiana or Compact license required
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained
• Wound Care Certification required
