The School of Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a eLearning Experience Developer (Web Computing Specialist).

The eLearning Experience Developer works both independently and collaboratively to develop and update web-based clinical education modules for medical residents, clinical fellows, and physician faculty. This position directly reports to the Lead eLearning User Experience Designer and secondarily reports to the Lead Instructional Designer.

Additionally, Learning Gateway and this position work closely with the Learning Technologies & Infrastructure team in deploying training to physicians and with the School of Medicine for delivering training to medical student clerkships.

eLearning Development
• Develop creative, learner-centered, performance-based training materials utilizing interactive eLearning modules for providers of healthcare, including user interface design, testing, and deployment.
• Create templates and standardized design resources to leverage past work in support of future projects.
• Document course specifications, style guides, and development choices on eLearning projects for future reference.
• Provide quality assurance and troubleshooting for eLearning module delivery issues across multiple platforms and devices.
• Maintain knowledge of new learning approaches, technology, and tools through continuous research to ensure our solutions deliver innovation.
• Meet project milestones, communicate issues and risks in a timely manner, and manage internal stakeholder expectations.
• Evaluate educational materials for accessibility for individuals with impairments and make accommodations where feasible.

Learning Experience Design
• Pursue a deep understanding of learner roles and work with SMEs to ensure that learning solutions meet learner needs.
• Collaborate with subject-matter-experts, stakeholders, and project team members to develop and/or update interactive eLearning modules.
• Propose interactive learning activities and bring innovative ideas to project development.

General
• Establish and maintain positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and community members from a wide variety of backgrounds—including members of racial, ethnic, and sexual minority populations—and be respectful of individual and cultural differences.
• Integrate feedback and ideas from a variety of team members with varying skill sets, interests, and goals.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and professional experience.
• At least three years of experience in eLearning design and development.

Additional Requirements:
• Experience with Articulate Storyline or similar eLearning authoring tools.
• Experience writing for learning comprehension.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or similar.
• Ability to exercise initiative, work independently, prioritize tasks, and work as a team member.
• Ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively on projects.
• Creative problem solver.
• Strong data management skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum requirements.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in clinical physician education.
• Experience in user-centered design methodologies, including usability testing.
• Experience developing performance support content.
• Experience with audio and video editing.
• Experience with Illustrator and Photoshop or similar tools.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
