Harborview Rehabilitation Therapies & Clinics has an outstanding opportunity for a 100% FTE, Day Shift, Hospital Assistant /CNA position.  Under the general supervision, this individual will assist the Physical, Occupational, Speech Pathology and Therapeutic Recreation Staff in a variety of tasks designed to improve departmental work efficiency. These tasks are: Inventory management including ordering, stocking, managing and organizing supply areas; equipment maintenance including periodic monitoring, safety inspection, and regular cleaning, maintenance, and set up; assisting clinical staff in miscellaneous tasks including record retrieval, filing, faxing, photocopying, arranging for interpreter services, charge preparation, and compilation; direct patient care including exercise, ambulating or positioning as directed by the Therapy Clinician, and safety support during groups or patient treatment. 

This position provides opportunities to work with a team oriented and dynamic workgroup willing to help each other.   This team values team communication, is motivated to reach to a higher level of care for patients, and works closely with physicians, nurses and other disciplines. 

Competitive candidates will have experience providing direct patient care in a hospital setting, and exhibit clear and concise communication skills.  

Shift: 40 hours per week (5 X 8 hour shifts).

REQUIREMENTS:

High School graduation AND six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience.

Must have a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) or Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) with WA State (please indicate your licensure information).

Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) or Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) with the State of Washington.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Valid AHA BLS/CPR Card
