Tasteful Selections is hiring an Agronomist/Farm Manager with a pay of $73,000 a year. This position includes a combination of responsibilities in agronomy, crop and grower management and food safety. This individual will be meeting with farm managers, growers, and industry groups. Ability to travel to multiple farm locations within local area required (approximately 50%). The Agronomist's primary responsibility will be to support the commercial bite-sized potato production; provide agronomic oversight on key farm operations; assist in developing and conducting R&D experiments to provide insight on key production issues; and provide farm and food safety. Job requirements include a four-year degree in agronomy, soil science, agriculture, agricultural economics or other agricultural field of study, experience in agricultural production and progressive business growth and experience in irrigated crop production. Along with proficient experience in the use of windows-based computer programs (Excel, Access, PowerPoint), excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to train and work with operational personnel, and experience in leadership and management.
