Job Summary:

Performs MRI exams at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment for a consistent outcome of established imaging protocols. Reviews MRI screening form and relevant previous imaging thoroughly in order to confirm safe entrance into zone IV of the MRI suite. Responsible for archiving and documenting all imaging and data in PACS and RIS. Works closely with the hospital’s Emergency Department and inpatient floors staff. Identifies each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. Willingly performs other duties as requested.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible, and ARRT MR (must obtain within one year of appointment), minimum of one year progressive technical experience plus current CPR certification required. Registration certification for Contrast Injection required (must obtain within 3 months of appointment). CPR certification required at the time of appointment.

Work Days:

Night Shift 11:00 pm-7:30 am starting Sunday night at 11 pm to Friday morning at 7:30 am  Rotating Weekend Call.
