Perioperative Services RN

Description

The Perioperative Services RN is accountable for preoperative care, intra-operative care, immediate post-operative care, dismissal of all outpatient conscious sedation and local anesthesia patients. The core activities of nursing are assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. Will be required to take call hours as scheduled by the Director of Surgery.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active Iowa license for Iowa residents or an active license in a compact state in which you reside. CPR, BLS, and ACLS. Two (2) years nursing experience with one (1) year being critical care. Operating room experience preferred.

This is a full-time position.

School Therapist

Description

The School Therapist will provide therapy services at four school locations in the service area.

This position requires a Masters Degree in social work from a CSWE approved school of social work or be licensed as a LMSW with an equivalent degree. At least two years prior experience in the mental health field preferred. Must be licensed in the State of Iowa at a minimum as a LMSW, preferably with a LISW.

This is a full-time position, working 32 hours/week.

Hospice Coordinator (RN)

Description

The Hospice Coordinator (RN) is responsible for the implementation of the agency’s program under the guidance of the Director. Overall responsibility as a leader is to plan and to provide with the team, individualized nursing care and comprehensive service to families and patients with life limiting illnesses.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active Iowa license for Iowa residents or an active license in a compact state in which you reside. Three (3) years nursing experience in home care with previous management experience preferred.

Pharmacy Technician

Description

The Pharmacy Technician serves as an assistant to the pharmacist in charge and under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.

Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must pass and be registered by Iowa as a CPhT within first year of employment. General accounting/bookkeeping and/or other hospital experience preferred. Requires a minimum of six (6) months experience in a pharmacy related position.

This is a full-time position at our Whiting Pharmacy location.

Stock Clerk

Description

The Stock Clerk maintains purchasing/return log of all supplies in and out of the hospital. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies within the storeroom. Aids in the distribution of supplies to specific areas within the hospital. Aids in receiving of shipments.

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to read, write, do basic math functions, and understand and follow directions.

Nurse Technician

Description

The Nurse Technician performs uncomplicated nursing services for patients under the supervision of a RN. Assists the RN in performing more complex nursing care procedures.

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Must be certified or have educational background equal to or above training for certification or nursing student who has completed Nursing I or EMT. Must be BLS prepared.

One (1) year previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or Nurse Technician preferred.

Environmental Services Technician

Description

The Environmental Services Technician assists in the maintenance and general cleanliness of the hospital. Follows accepted and standardized procedures in providing a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients and workers.

BHIS Specialist

Description

The Behavioral Health Intervention (BHIS) Specialist is responsible for facilitating client growth by promoting skill building in the areas including but not limited to social skills, communication skills, problem solving skills, conflict resolution skills, and interpersonal relationship skills. The BHIS Provider understands the mental health needs of the client and develops a treatment plan in a collaborative effort with the therapist who did the assessment, and if the client is continuing to receive therapy, with the therapist seeing the client. The BHIS Provider is committed to working both with the individual child and with the family, and is expected to work evenings and nights as needed to accommodate the client family schedules. As appropriate, BHIS Provider coordinates service with the Burgess Mental Health clinical treatment team. The Service Interventions are written to match client’s mental health needs. Specific services include Health and Behavior Intervention, Crisis Intervention, Skill Development and Training, and Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment.

This position requires a Bachelor Degree. Preferred degree is in a field related to mental health but not required. Previous mental health experience or similar preferred.

CCP/RN – PRN

Description

The Registered Nurse/Critical Care Paramedic is responsible for planning, executing and evaluating the total care of a group of patients, as delegated by the Director of Emergency Services/Critical Care.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an active Iowa license for Iowa residents or an active license in a compact state in which you reside or must be certified a Paramedic in the state of Iowa with a Critical Care certification. NRP, ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and TNCC (RN only) required within one (1) year of employment. One year of RN or CCP work in an emergency room preferred.

Description

The Paramedic performs various emergency patient care activities according to the skills and capabilities of an EMT-P according to the State Prehospital Care Legislation on the ambulance. May also work in the hospital emergency room and respiratory therapy. This position will also help with registrar duties in the Mapleton Clinic.

A high school diploma. Certification as an EMT-P, completion of examination by the State of Iowa, BCLS certification annually, ACLS biannually. Valid chauffeur’s license required. Previous experience helpful, but not required.

X-Ray Technologist

Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented X-ray Technologist to join our team. As an X-ray Tech you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians and medical professionals in diagnosing and treating patients by producing high-quality diagnostic images. You will operate X-ray equipment, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.

The X-Ray Tech works well with the Director of Radiology, Radiologists, hospital physicians, and Administration. The X-Ray Tech will work second shift, Monday – Thursday and Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Holidays, weekends and call are rotated amongst technologists. CT Certification preferred but will cross train after employment begins.

Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible.

This is a full-time position.
