Family-owned and operated Swim Chem has been serving the Northern California area since 1970 when owner John Wallace saw a need for a dependable pool maintenance company. As the owner of Fresno-based seasonal pool plastering, excavation and concrete finishing businesses, John was looking for a way to incorporate his industry knowledge into a year-round business that would allow him to best serve the community.

After opening the business in Sacramento that would become Swim Chem, John dedicated the focus of the company toward providing the highest-quality and most reliable and economical residential swimming pool service in the area using a well-known process for chemically treating pools. Soon John was able to sell his Fresno pool businesses and move the family permanently to Sacramento and run Swim Chem, where it has been thriving and serving the Sacramento, Vacaville/Fairfield, Roseville/Rocklin and Davis/Dixon areas since.

Swim Chem remains a family-owned and operated business with 2nd and 3rd generation family members at the helm. All the while, John’s founding commitment to superior pool and spa maintenance and service remains at the forefront of everything we do.
