Police Chief

The Town of Bethel is accepting applications/resumes for the position of Police Chief.

The Towns Police Force will consist of 4 full time officers which includes the Chief of Police.

The Chief is responsible for planning, administration, oversight of the annual budget and overall leadership of the department.

The Chief will report to the Town Manager.

The qualification of 10 years of law enforcement experience is desired.

Applicants should have strong public relations and human resource skills.

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience with a salary range from $36,000 to $40,000.

Successful candidates must meet all the requirements of the N.C. Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission.

Successful candidates must also meet state and departmental requirements including a background investigation, physical and psychological examination and substance abuse testing.
