SUMMARY:

The Training Specialist�s role has a passion for continuous improvement & education, seeking out resources and tools to propel the learning & development programs at Arc Human Services. The goal of this role is to develop and train our workforce to promote the success of new and existing employee. Candidates for this position must possess an enthusiasm to help and implement quality education, professional development, and efficiency supports. In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that the candidate have a keen sense of rapport development, communication (verbal & written), teamwork, prioritization, presentation, time management, and organization. The Training Specialist role requires an adaptive, proactive, and solution-focused attitude. The Training Specialist is a semi independent role that must be reliable and able to take action to create solutions to accommodate all engaged parties.

QUALIFICATIONS

? Secure training certification on an as needed basis to meet the agency training requirements
? Highly proficient computer skills and experience with technology and best practices
? Possess interpersonal skills of active listening, conflict management, constructive criticism, encouragement, flexibility, giving clear instructions, motivating others, patience, rapport and trust building
? Organized and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
? Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills
? Excellent classroom management and time management skills
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Excellent professional emotional Intelligence and self-awareness
? Ability to engage your audience
? Proactive, solution-focused, and adaptable
? Knowledgeable of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)

Education/Experience/Certification
  • Experience working in the human service field and public speaking and training
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, in education, social work, human resources, or a related field
  • Standard work week is Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm with occasional weekends and evenings to meet the needs of our workforce
  • American Red Cross CPR/FA certified trainer - or a plan to secure certification/remain certified
  • Agency Crisis Prevention certified trainer - or a plan to secure certification/remain certified
