SUMMARY:

The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the day to day Golf Operations of No. 7.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree required and a minimum of 2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be a Class "A" Member of the PGA or in the process of acquiring credentials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in managing and supervising the staff and day to day Golf Operations at No. 7
  • Assist with managing revenues, payroll, forecasting, in accordance to financial practices of the Company.
  • Insure Member, Guest & Employee challenges, opportunities, and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Yield/Tee Time Office to insure appropriate communication and coordination between Tee Time Office & Golf operations.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of in house systems such as Golf Pro/V1, Club Essentials, Golf Genius, TPP, and Timesaver.
  • Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures. (bank, alarm, computer, etc.)
  • Responsible for scheduling golf staff at No. 7.
  • Teach clinics, golf schools, and individual lessons.
  • Attend continuing education and cross-training programs.
  • Assist with inventory control on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with tournament preparation and execution.
  • Daily golf shop maintenance. (restocking, cleaning, reorganizing, etc.)
  • Responsible for training, and disciplining Employee.
  • Maintain and upkeep general golf shop supplies.
  • Daily point of sale and scheduling tee times.
  • Play in various outings, events, and tournaments.
  • Responsible for maintaining golf shop appearance and inventory levels.
  • Meet and exceed all guest expectations.
  • Must be aware of surroundings with an understanding of a golf environment. Must have the ability to see and react to the surroundings including errant golf balls and must understand and follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manages a team or teams within Golf Operations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the managed teams. This will include supervise various non-supervisory employees in the department. Carries out manager responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
