This recruitment will be used to form an eligibility list. The eligibility list will be active for a period of six months and will be utilized to fill current and future vacancies in this classification. Job Purpose Statement: Under general direction, provides administrative assistance by performing complex, technical and confidential secretarial and administrative duties in a multi-functional department. The Administrative Assistant class is distinguished by working under direction from the Superintendent or a Deputy or Associate Superintendent position. Positions in this class may supervise other clerical/secretarial classifications. - Experience: Five years of prior secretarial and administrative experience of an increasingly responsible nature. Work in an educational setting is preferred. Two years of education in office management or related field may be substituted for two years of experience. - Education: Education at a level to demonstrate the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
