JOB OPENING Development Associate Communications Coordinator Job Opening

Job Summary: Keystone Symposia seeks a Communications Coordinator that will assist in the planning and production of various digital events within the Virtual Keystone Symposia (VKS) initiative. The ideal candidate will serve as the project coordinator in the successful execution of VKS initiatives that includes (but not limited to) eSymposia, Virtual Access Hybrid, On Demand and ePanel events. The Communications Coordinator will also support, as needed, content creation and marketing efforts for both virtual and in-person meetings. This may include simple video editing, graphics creation and administration work on the various virtual events platforms. Ability to manage multiple projects, with strong attention to detail and deadlines, is essential. In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with Keystone Symposia staff and external stakeholders. Some experience working within a non-profit environment is strongly preferred, as is familiarity in creating content for a scientific audience. Position is part-time (20-30 hours per week). The Communications Coordinator is a member of the Communications group and reports to the Senior Director of Communications.

Major Responsibilities include: Coordinate the planning and successful execution of eSymposia, hybrid events as well as other Virtual Keystone Symposia initiatives Organization and mass-scheduling of calendar appointments, reminders and other email correspondence with meeting participants. Familiarity with Doodle, Calendly or other scheduling applications a plus Support and conduct audio/visual checks with an emphasis on customer service and the ability to troubleshoot basic PC/Mac hardware issues Data entry of speaker and program information as necessary Communicate program and technical details to both on-site and remote vendors Other duties as assigned.

Desired Communications Coordinator Skills: Zoom and other web-conferencing platforms Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel and SharePoint Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere, Photoshop and Illustrator a plus Web-based productivity apps such as Airtable, Teams, and Slack a plus Familiarity with CMS and basic HTML/CSS Qualified candidates must have strong communication, and organizational skills and have had experience working within a multidisciplinary team. Must be highly detail-oriented and be able to work independently and with good judgment. Must have strong time-management skills and an ability to prioritize and comfortably meet the required deadlines. 3-5 years of similar experience preferred. Degree in Business, Project Management, Marketing or equivalent experience is a plus, but not required.

Position is part-time (20-30 hours per week) and temporary starting ASAP with an open end-date. Working in the office is expected when the office reopens later this year.

The start of the pay range is $18.83/hour and pay rate is dependent on experience.
