This position is responsible for performing duties in the Radiology Operations Center:

  • Monitors professional Radiology workflow ensuring accurate and efficient image management, follow through on critical requests and patient confidentiality while processing Radiology exams and reports.  
  • Provides support to Radiologists and Radiology staff by alerting radiologists of reporting delays; facilitating the redistribution of workflow as needed; troubleshooting issues as they arise; coordinating and communicating with the appropriate support resources to ensure timely rendering of radiology interpretations as ordered.   
  • Serves as primary point of contact within the central Radiology operations center to provide liaison between UH regional hospitals, ambulatory sites, referring physicians and reading radiologists.
  • Maintains accessibility to the Radiology Operations Center by maximizing available IT and telecommunication resources.  
  • Working collaboratively with physicians/co-workers/patients in a professional and effective manner.

Position Requirements:
Requires 2 years of experience with Radiology PACS system, Image management, Release of Medical information, & customer service, or equivalent experience.
 
Experience in a patient service environment and preferably in a healthcare environment
 
Ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with internal and external customers.
 
Leadership role and experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment. 
 

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.  Associates degree preferred.

 

Position Details/Preferred Qualifications:
Radiology experience with RIS, PACS, and workflow.  Experience working in a fast-paced environment. This position is part of a pivotal team for Radiology. They support all locations, answering incoming calls from all ERs, Strokes, IR procedures, etc. They monitor and coordinate unread exams, assist radiologists, radiology staff, and any others who reach out for anything related to Radiology. Also answers first calls for radiology informatic concerns on weekends. The schedule is Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 7:00am-7:30pm, plus rotating holidays.

 

Work Locations Available:

Available locations for this position include Cleveland Medical Center, Parma Medical Center, Minoff Health Center at Chagrin Highlands in Beachwood, and Ahuja Medical Center (weekend shifts only).

Training:
Schedule is Monday-Friday, (5) 8 hour shifts that will rotate between various shifts, including midnights. The training will be located at all offered work locations.
