Legacy Manufacturing is looking to add a Lead-Dispatch/Cross-dock 2nd Shift to our growing team. Seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for Lead - Dispatch Operator for our Marion location. If you have familiarity and experience with warehousing, shipping and receiving, coupled with a commitment to excellent customer service, this is the position for you! This is an exciting opportunity for well-organized self-starters with excellent interpersonal skills who enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Onsite training will be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interact with NAPA dispatchers to work as a team when shipping trailers.
• Communicate with RMDS load instructions
• Actively communicate with operators to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns
• Accurately document work performed
• Check off manifests with attention to detail documenting exceptions
• Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies.
• Report to management on activities and issues
• Assist in the efficient completion of inventory audits
• Sign applicable driver documentation as required
• Promote a clean, safe and positive work environment.
• Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials and a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods
• Manual work may be required
• Additional work as expected
• Unload and load shipments safely
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Operate a forklift to move material through the facility (i.e. forklift, reach truck or picker)
• Physically moving pallets from stock points along the line, off trailers, and from other storage areas

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience with cross-dock operations/shipping
• Proven experience in managing a Team
• Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
• Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
• Experience in preparing shipping documents.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
• Using software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
• Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Managing all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading
• Must have clean DMV driving record and valid driver’s license
• High school diploma: BS/BA in supply chain, logistic or relative filed is a definite plus
• Proven experience as forklift operator
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Able to handle light and heavy lifting with ease
• Have knowledge of all safety measures needed
• Have knowledge of warehouse inventory
• WMS experience and a basic understanding would be an asset

Schedule:

• Full-Time, 2nd Shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM)
