COMMUNITY TRAINER AND
EDUCATOR

The Arc of Spokane's Advocacy and Family Support program has a Community Trainer and Educator position available. The Partnership 4 Safety, a nationally recognized abuse prevention program, is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and motivated social worker to provide information on disability resources to the community and training about sexual abuse awareness, intervention and response of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to professionals and community members.

The successful candidate will have:

•Experience in providing trainings and presentations
•Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
•Knowledge of adult learning styles
•Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
•Knowledgeable about resources for families of children and adults with developmental disabilities in Spokane County.
•Experience in writing and documentation to include reports, newsletter articles, resource directories and proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite, specifically PowerPoint

Requirements: Bachelors in Social Work or equivalent degree, ability to meet training requirements, which may include some out of town travel, must have a valid Washington driver's license, vehicle insurance and be able to pass the required background check.

The position is 30 hours per week M-F; DOE, with excellent benefits after criteria is met.
